The Glynn County Health Department will be offering the flu vaccine to all GA students at no cost on Tuesday, November 4th. Deadline to return a completed consent form is Monday, October 27th. Forms were sent home with students last Monday and a copy can be printed from the link below.
Nine Weeks' Report Cards - Thursday, October 16, 2014
Nine weeks' report cards were sent home with students on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Students participated in an advisement session on Thursday to discuss their grades, their Lexile score reports (through Achieve 3000), and their goals for the next grading period. You will see a retention notice on the report card that serves as notice that any failing grades are indicative of possible retention. Decorating Contest Rules:
1. Individual or groups can enter.
Participants will provide pumpkin and all supplies needed to decorate the
pumpkin. Artificial or real pumpkins can

Any type of decorating supplies can be used (paint, construction paper, hats,

Pirates host Richmond Hill; Terrors on road at Effingham
The Brunswick High School Pirates will host Richmond Hill on Friday, Oct. 24 at Glynn County Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.Coming off of a tough 35-20 road loss to region power Coffee County last Friday, the Pirates (4-3, 3-2 Region 3-AAAAA) will look to rebound against the Wildcats (2-5, 1-5) and maintain their position in the region standings.Tickets to the game are $8 general admission and $10 reserved seating. Veterans Day Ceremony - Monday, November 10, 2014
Needwood Middle School is hosting a Veterans Day ceremony to honor veterans and active-duty military personnel on Monday, November 10, 2014, at 9:00 am in the NMS gymnasium. The community, and especially veterans in our community, are cordially invited to attend. This is a formal, student-led ceremony, which will involve students in the NMS band and strings programs, as well as individual student vocal performances. Red Ribbon Week is Coming!
Red Ribbon Week will be held October 27th through October 31st! Red Ribbon Week helps to raise awareness about bullying and also helps to raise awareness about teenage drug use. Here at GMS, we encourage our students to "Just Say NO!" To celebrate Red Ribbon Week, five theme days are planned, in which students are encouraged to dress up and show their support. The five theme days are:Monday-Crazy Socks Day!Tuesday-Dress for Success Day!Wednesday-Hurricane Spirit Day!Thursday-Animal Print/Camo Day!Friday-Team Spirit Day!
