Rule The School - August 1 at 10 am
JMMS invites our upcoming sixth grade students to "Rule The School" on August 1, from 10 am to 11:30 am. This event allows these students to experience the school and learn more about being an Eagle.

Jane Macon Middle School welcomes families to Open House on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 from 5pm - 7pm. Visit the school and meet your teachers as we celebrate the beginning of a new school year.

New state immunizations requirements begin July 1
New mandates from the Georgia Department of
Public Health will require some middle and high school students in Georgia to
get booster shots before they can enroll in school in August.
At the beginning of the 2014-15 school year,
which begins in Glynn County on Thursday, Aug. 7, students born on or after
Jan. 1, 2002 and entering or transferring into seventh grade must get a booster
shot known as Tdap to guard against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. Those

Middle schools to hold orientation for rising sixth graders
Glynn County’s four public middle schools will hold an
orientation for rising sixth-grade students on Friday, Aug. 1. Students will have an opportunity to tour
their new school, meet their teachers and learn about school protocols,
procedures and extracurricular activities including sports, cheerleading, band
and school clubs.
Orientation times are
Glynn Middle, Needwood Middle and Risley
Middle – 9 a.m. to noon, and Jane Macon Middle – 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Back-to-school information for parents
With the 2014-15 school year beginning for Glynn County students
on Thursday, Aug. 7, parents should be aware of important information and
procedural changes that are being implemented this year.
In an effort to conserve resources and reduce waste, the
Glynn County School System will limit the number of documents that are sent
home with students at the beginning of the school year. “In the past, parents with more than one

How to subscribe to RSS Feeds:
In order to subscribe to an RSS feed you will need two things, an RSS reader (also known as a news aggregator) and url (web address) of the RSS feed that you wish to subscribe.
Download and Install a News Aggregator / RSS Reader - or use a RSS-enabled browser.
Locate the web address (url) of the RSS feed (XML file) that you wish to subscribe - usually you can just click on the orange XML
or RSS button

The information in the feed will be updated when the feed contains new content.
